The updated official symbol of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence represents a new era of military resistance: speed, adaptability, and decisive tactical action. While the classic crest focuses on global oversight, the modern vertical chevron showcasing an owl holding a sword emphasizes immediate operational strength.

At the center of this design is the striking vertical alignment of the new GUR chevron. The owl clutches a sword pointing downwards, symbolizing precise, inevitable strikes against hostile forces. This streamlined geometry gives the cover a modern, sharp, and disciplined military aesthetic.
Surrounding the emblem is the historic Latin motto Sapiens dominabitur astris ("The wise will rule the stars"). It serves as a reminder that intellect, foresight, and tactical mastery remain the primary weapons of Ukrainian intelligence officers.

The emblem is permanently embossed using heavy metallic hot-stamping presses without ink or surface coatings. The high heat and pressure press deep into the genuine leather fibers, ensuring the intricate lines will never rub off, crack, or fade over time.
