The flaming grenade is an ancient, pan-European symbol of infantry and guard units, representing explosive force and fire directed at the enemy. Guard formations wore this symbol long before the modern Ukrainian army, and today it rests upon an eight-pointed star holding the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine — the Tryzub, a symbol of a united and invincible nation.
This is the exact chevron worn by fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine — a force holding the frontline shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces: from guarding critical infrastructure to NGU assault brigades engaged in the fiercest battles of this war. A cover featuring this embossing is more than a document case; it is a mark of respect for those who step forward every day where others couldn't hold.
We craft these covers ourselves in the Turtle workshop: in-house production with strict quality control at every stage — from leather cutting to final pressing.
Material & Craftsmanship
Crazy Horse leather — smooth, pleasant to the touch, with a distinct vintage character: marks of daily use don't ruin the look, but make each cover more personal over time. Deep heat embossing via a metal stamp and press without ink ensures the design stays crisp for years.
The document pocket depth comes in 5 cm (1.96 in) or 9 cm (3.54 in) options, depending on how you prefer to retrieve the ID.
Colors: Black, Dark Brown, Blue, Green, Cognac Brown, Red, Burgundy (Bordo), Camel / Tan.
